Music for Writers

When I'm on a schedule and writing fast, I like to have my music with me. I created this website so I have cool tunes with me no matter where I'm writing.
I just click the play button for my genre-of-the-moment (SF or fantasy, usually), minimize the browser, and go to work in my trusty Wordpad.
Most veterans of Nanowrimo know the power music has to make the writing happen, no matter what. So... can the right music fire the muse? Make us write faster? Write better?

Look to the right, at "Playlists by Genre," click on what grabs you, and happy writing. If you have a music suggestion, leave a comment.

My playlist

This is a playlist I made on Youtube. I like it better than the Jamendo players down there, so I'll get to work on playlists for SF, fantasy, horror, romance, etc.

If you have a favorite song you like to listen to while you write your brilliant stuff, mention it in a comment. I'm open to suggestions!

Steve, welcome.
Mymusic suggestion is House of the Rising Sun. i'm haunted by it.
see you next month
i remember when Yoonmin returned to Seoul he said "i miss the solitude of LA". Do you too miss the solitude of Seattle?
are you writing?
fondly, your fellow writer.

Hey Steve! It's Dan the man leveitan from WKRP in Cinncinati! Not really, it's just Dan Bigelow from Phoenix. A few songs came to mind. "White Rabbit" From Jefferson Airplane. That could even be your new nickname in Korea. The "White Rabbit" Just a thought. The other song that came to mind was from Queen. "We are the Champions". I understand what you are saying about the music and the writing. I feel I play better in my poker tournaments when I have my Ipod with me. Tell Steph I said "HI!" and have a great time out there.
